D.Mose: Loose Squares Vol.2 Mixtape Release Party (Event)
After D. MOSE released first mix-tape entitled “Loose Squares‟ in 2010, the series played on the idea of CD cases being squared and comparing music being addictive like nicotene. Not only did Loose Squares Vol. 1 feature rhymes over industry beats and original music produced by Tony Baines. It featured 3- time American Blues Award nominee and front man of Chicago based blues band “Big James & the Chicago Playboys Uncle James “Big James” Montgomery trombone. Loose Squares Vol. 2 also entirely produced by Tony Baines culminates the perfect blend of hip-hop and reggae, with featured artist YP, Onis, Julio Slapp, Young Diesel, Griffen and Kid Kaoss.
On Friday February 4th, 2011 9:00pm- 12:00am, at Evil Olive (1551 West Division) D.MOSE featuring the Dann Ryann band will showcase a live performance of features off his latest release Loose Squares Vol. 2. D.MOSE, former host of radio show Reggae Link Radio on Power 92.3FM, made Chicago music history by hosting the only mainstream Reggae Radio Show in the Midwest. Loose Squares Vol. 2 plans on introducing the world to a blend of Hip-Hop and reggae, sure to be another groundbreaking feature in the industry.
Dann Ryann specializes in hip-hop and reggae music but plays all genres of music. Made up of lead vocalist D. MOSE, James “Jb McSwagger” Lee (Drummer), Cavan “Pro” Jackson (Bass guitar and Keyboard), Justin Lee (Keyboard) and “Dj Fucha,” a rising force in the Chicago Reggae community.
