YONAS: KarmaloopTV Interview (Video)

YONAS is one of few who has my full on attention. I’m really interested in seeing what this kid does next.

Like so many artists did, earlier this month YONAS made his way out to Austin for SXSW. Like so many artists did not, however, not only did YONAS perform as part of the 2DopeBoyz.com and DJBooth.net Last Rights showcase, but he also found time to catch up with KarmaloopTV and chop it up with the site. Sitting down for the interview, YONAS discusses his time in Austin, which was the Bronx emcee’s first time at SXSW, the importance of networking and connecting with other artists across genres, other artists he’d like to work with in the future, and the underlying messages in his music.

YONAS also chats with KarmaloopTV about the progress on his first official album, The Proven Theory, which will be released April 25th on City Of Dreams. “I’m talking for the average person that feels like they’re struggling to make it,” explains YONAS, “from a perspective where I am trying to see my hopes and dreams come true.”

Apollo Brown: Time Passed Autumn (Video)

Check out the video for the song “Time Passed Autumn” from Detroit producer, Apollo Brown, taken from his recently released album “Clouds” via Mello Music Group. The video is directed by Apollo Brown himself and gives fans some insight into his environment, his various influences, and recording studio. Not bad for his first time using the camcorder and editing software!

Tuge: Moment 4 Life (Video)

Dice Music’s own Tuge returns with his first video for his upcoming pre-mixtape “The Scrimmage,” which will also feature “Smoke Service” and “The Hangover.” “The Scrimmage” is an appetizer for Tuge’s upcoming J. Cardim executive-produced mixtape “Star Spangled Grammar,” which will feature all original material (including the J. Cardim produced “Mr. Money Machine” and some surprise features).
