YNMD: Where are you from? for those that aren’t familiar with you yet

Logic: I’m from maryland, born in Montgomery County but residing in college park MD

YNMD: How and when did you land on the name Logic?

Logic: Well i used to be really underground, and when i was 18 i flipped through the name, saw the word psychological and loved it, but over the last few years my sound has changed, still lyrical but just a broader horizon, so i shortened it to Logic for marketing purposes…

YNMD: Give us a quick synopsis on your upcoming project, “Young Sinatra”

Logic: Young Sinatra is a complete re-invention, The first tape i wanted to say hey Maryalnd DC and Virginia this is me I’m on my come up!!!
Giving them something to know i have potential, but this tape is it, no more potential, i want cats to hear this one and think wow! That was great.
Its much more grand then the first, original production, features, better quality the whole 9

YNMD: What are you hoping to accomplish with the release of “Young Sinatra”?

Logic: National exposure so when i go on tour i just give it my all, while slowly building my buzz in other countries

YNMD: What does Young Sinatra signify and where did it come from?

Logic: I love frank sinatra he is an amazing talent and over all it is the image id like to project on the new generation, not loli pop dumb minded music, but true intellectual words with a great sound!!!!

YNMD: I often hear the saying Bobbysoxer thrown around in some of your tracks, What does that signify?

Logic: A bobbysoxer is actually a teenage female fan of frank sinatra in the 1940′s back then musicians would do shows in high school gym’s and since the wood was very fancy they made the girls take off their heels, so all that remained was there bobby sox
This also is the origan for the term sock hop that is still used today…

YNMD: Other than the upcoming project, what else can fans expect to see form you?

Logic: Videos, touring, another tape followed by an album, and of course one day movies!!!!!

YNMD: How did the link up with Raheem Devaughn come to happen?

Logic: Well to be honest sunn norway a chicago born producer that moved to the dmv came across me, we came across each other really, he took a song to raheem and dre the mayor and it was a rap! They are the homies

YNMD: How are things for you now that you are a part of that team? what is everyone like?

Logic: Well the funny thing is were fam but i am not on their label, everything you have seen was done by my personal team, i write record engineer and mix all my music in my personal studio. But what is the 368 fam like? Real cool people, very humble and down to earth, i really got to know everyone when raheem invited me to tour down to texas for SXSW one things for sure Raheem is a jokester Always laughing singing and having a great time!!! Phil ade is pretty chill, but he’s a clown on the low haha Sunny norway is very cool, kind and generous, and all about hunnies and making beats that man grinds (Waddup G) lol Dre the mayor, hes kinda like the father figure always making sure things get done on time! With a cool swag to him. Really good person.

YNMD: Who would you say serves as an inspiration for your music?

Logic: My biggest inspiration is life!!!! I love all types of music from classical to indi rock movie scores and hip hop but experiences as a young man have shaped my music the most

YNMD: Can fans around the country expect to see you in their city in the near future?

Logic: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YNMD: ow do you feel about Hip-Hop music and the industry today?

Logic: Its great its healthy and with the way an artist can establish himself through the internet is amazing! Today everyones a rapper, but what seperates me from the rest, is my sound and my work ethic

YNMD: Going outside the genre of Hip-Hop, what do you like to listen to?

Logic: Nirvana, coldplay, frank sinatra, red hot chili peppers, radiohead, and movie scores i love them!!! (Swag)

YNMD: What would you say your ipod consists of?

Logic: My mixtapes and instrumentals for future projects!!! But from time to time you’ll catch some wiz, spitta, j cole, wu tang, the roots, mos def, drake, jay, nas, I mean the list goes on i love that real hip hop!

YNMD: How are you planning and hoping to end of 2011?

Logic: On the XXL freshmen train!

YNMD: Where would you like to see yourself around this time next year?

Logic: On a sold out tour for thousands!
