In this new clip, Rawls gives a glimpse at his creative process: lifting a sample, editing it on his ASR-10, laying it to drums, and creating an entirely new piece of music. Two weeks after performing with The Diplomats at Best Buy Theatre, and just one day after inking his deal with, RCA Records, A$AP Rocky took his act to downtown Brooklyn to capture the ears of many first time listeners at the 2nd Annual Creator’s Project in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The two day art and technology festival was put together by Vice X Intel, and featured numerous cutting edge interactive exhibitions that stimulated the senses of the thousands in attendance.
A$AP Rocky touched stage as one of the clear standouts, amongst a lineup of that consisted of acts ranging from electro/house DJ Justice, to indie-rock sensation Florence + The Machine. In front of a mixed crowd of hipsters and tech connoisseurs, the rebel youth managed to tear up his set and make the ASAP name known amongst the new listeners. Despite being a 23 year old new comer, Rocky showed that his presence is a present by bringing fans on stage, sparking mosh pits, and finishing his set by rapping while walking through the entire crowd, exiting through the main entrance. – BHHTV
Its such an unidentified feeling, beyond understanding. Time collapses around me. The motions around me speed up, but i stay there, lost in translation. The greed, the lust for this moment is strong. It only gets stronger as the frequency elevates. Reality just hasn’t set in yet, and i don’t think it ever will.

When rigor mortis occurs within a corpse, its muscles tighten, causing the body to become stiff and very difficult to move. The chemical reaction makes all blood gravitate to the areas of the body that are closest to the ground, leaving colorful spots as an indication of life that once existed. As the soul escapes, toxins remain causing the corpse to rot and decompose. This is the fate that Kendrick Lamar has deemed onto the competition, more commonly known as your favorite rapper. Amen!
Death can be so beautiful at times. Boasting bars as mad as Marilyn Manson, one grim rapper emerges to hold hip hop ransom. Hailing from Compton, Los Angeles, one of America’s most neglected graveyards, Kendrick yields his sickle (ballpoint pen) to pry open the caskets of lyricism, musicianship, and tradition. The emcee, once known as K. Dot, hence displays an heir of irony in his verses, murdering the fraudulent with the same weapon used for shedding light on realness.
Section 80 was released in the first week of July and continues to receive steady rotation from barbershop stereos to iPods on college campuses. A clear game changer, his debut album is dynamic in the sense that it brings forth the story of a generation incubated in the years of Reaganomics, while projecting the rebellious voice of a youth discontented by society’s harsh inflictions.
Directors, The ICU caught up with Kendrick Lamar at various locations throughout New York City to shoot this highly anticipated video off of Section 80. Accompanied by a triumphant three piece brass section, this funeral procession is not a mournful event, but rather a triumphant proclamation for a resurrecting art form. Chuuuch! – BlowHipHopTV
We already told you that Moe Green has been hard at work, dropping guest verse, after freebie, after video for fans in the wake of his highly regarded Lionheart EP. Continuing that run, Moe Green now pops up on one of the largest posse cuts, maybe ever, and is proud to stand alongside his emcee neighbors to rock the hometown mega anthem “1 Vallejo.” Produced and put together by Indecent The Slapmaster, who also raps on the song, “1 Vallejo” also includes the likes of Kobra Abysmal, Rux, Cousin Fik, Shigady da Playboy, Willie Joe, J-Cizzle, YC da kidd, Indecent the Slapmaster, D-Boi, Driyp Drop, Davie the fly kid, Dl da arsun, Mr.Apher, Young Smokes, and TouchScreen Trell. With so many emcees dropping verses,“1 Vallejo” is easily the most comprehensive representation of the current Vallejo rap scene to date.
